Wonderful! What a pleasure staying at Manaar House! The accommodation was fantastic - the bathroom in particular was gorgeous - the hospitality was friendly, professional and welcoming...the overall experience was wonderful. The parking area is not for the faint hearted however Jack and Mark were always willing to assist, which made it easier. Thank you for a wonderful stay and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a beautiful, tranquil and stylish place just to “get away”.

Great stay We arrived after a long flight from U.K We had a lovely welcome from Mark, who showed us to our room.We were very pleased with our accommodation.The next morning we had breakfast in wonderful surroundings and Mark gave us lots of advice on where to go and what to do whilst in Durban. We had a great stay there and nothing was too much trouble for Mark and his staff, they were excellent. Thank-you

wonderful hosts Had a great week in the self catering apartment, very clean and lost of space. Jack and Mark are great hosts and do go out of their way to ensure that everything is to your satisfaction. Shops and restaurants are within a couple of minutes drive. I would recommend to anyone who needs a few days rest and relaxation.

Hospitaliy at its best! We stayed two nights in the Manaar house but we would have loved to stay longer. A beautiful place close to the beach run by Jack and Marc who know how to pamper their guests. It was such a pleasant and wonderful stay, Highly recommended! - Daniel Bopp
What a delightful place to stay! The hosts could not have been more charming or helpful. They provided maps, advice, dining recommendations and directions. We stayed in the self-catering unit but asked for breakfast, which was served buffet style outside on the patio next to the pool, a really inviting place. The large apartment was two floors, with large rooms and a full kitchen. Covered secure parking was included. Very reasonable prices. Altogether a wonderful place to stay. Would highly recommend it.

15 out of 10 Our stay at Manaar house was unforgetable. Being in the tourism industry I know not to expect to much as my standards are very high. I booked accommodation at Manaar House through the internet, by just looking at the pictures on SafariNow. I have never been so surprised in my life. Manaar House is a true reflection of the pictures on the website, clean, stylish and felt like home. Thank you to our host for taking such good care of us, you will see us in the near future. I highly recommend Manaar House to everyone planning on visiting Durban!!!

Hi Jack, Mark and Brendan
Thanks so much for the lovely e-mail I received.
It is in fact me that needs to thank you all for a most comfortable and lovely stay at both Ben Siesta and Manaar House.
You went out of your way to accommodate me on the Monday evening before moving me to Manaar House. This alone is testimony of the fact that you run a professional establishment which is all about the customer. I really appreciated you doing this for me.
At this stage of the e-mail I would like to just mention that of the 12 e-mails I sent out on the Sunday prior to my stay in Umhlanga you were the first to respond. Not even the last few e-mails had left my mailbox when your call came through. Now not knowing where I was going to stay as a first time customer just your speedy response made a lasting impression. Added to this the fact that you offered me accommodation at Ben Siesta at the same rate as the B&B showed commitment and customer care.
I was definitely not disappointed at both establishments. The rooms were tastefully decorated and spotlessly clean. Both made provision for your every need and were extremely comfortable. My stay at Manaar house was amazing. Not only did Mark have to park and reverse my car for me each day (imagine if I had bumped my Mark’s car while he was in hospital!!!!) but I came home to a room with all the necessary lights as well as the TV switched on. I felt extremely safe knowing that security was on hand.
I congratulate you on a very relaxed and friendly environment where all the guests are introduced to each other ( a lovely personal touch). It is so much nicer when you can great the guests by first name and enquire about their day over breakfast in the morning. The breakfast was tasty and freshly prepared each day – thank you.
Please be assured that I will not stay anywhere else if we ever have to come to Umhlanga again. I have your card and e-mail details at hand and will ensure I recommend Manaar House as well as Ben Siesta to all my friends.
In closing the good news is that Mark is doing so much better now that we are at home again. So nurse Brenda better end this long e-mail and attend to her patient.
